FACEBOOK | 2017–2021

Content Design Lead, Product Architecture

Content design lead and interim content design manager working across the most urgent core initiatives across Facebook. I co-led the development of the team identity, mission, priorities, and engagement model in partnership with the product design director. I was also a mentor across the content design and product design functions, and consulted on high-risk work related to topics such as LGBTQ+ inclusion, racial justice and more.

Outside of my day-to-day, I was also a lead on the Content Design DEI Council and Inclusive Product Council, volunteer on various DEI, inclusive design, and responsible innovation initiatives across the company, and an active member of Pride@ (Facebook's LGBTQ+ employee resource group). Some of those projects include leading content design for the Stop Asian Hate and Pride experiences.

Lead Content Designer, News

Lead content designer responsible for the product content strategy and UX writing for products that help inform and connect people. I was part of the core team who built and launched Facebook News. Some of my responsibilities included developing the team mission/vision/principles, running pre-mortem workshops, leading design sprints, and building the foundation for a healthy team culture.

Outside of my day-to-day, I worked with a cross-organizational task force that addressed some of the most urgent cultural moments and movements (projects included the COVID-19 Info Center, Lift Black Voices and Pride).

Senior Content Designer, Profile & Dating

Senior content designer for a surface that receives 6M views a day and helps people showcase who they are. I was part of the core teams who built and launched the Facebook Dating and Did You Know products.

I was the lead in creating a more inclusive user experience for the LGBTQ+ community by utilizing inclusive design principles, partnering with legal and policy partners, and consulting with external LGBTQ+ experts and organizations.

TWITTER | 2016

Content Strategist, Global Media

Owned content strategy & marketing for media partnerships, community management for @TwitterMedia, & marketing lead for @TwitterOpen (LGBTQ+ employee resource group). Increased monthly impressions by 20x compared to the previous 12-month average, improved engagement rates, bettered content creation workflow. Responsibilities included content audit, style guide/brand voice development, editorial planning, and content creation/management.
